SAN MARCOS, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay women's basketball earned a key road victory over No. RV Cal State San Marcos, 64-56, on Saturday afternoon at The Sports Center.
It's the sixth-straight victory for CSUEB (7-1, 2-0 CCAA), as the Pioneers have now won their last two road games at San Marcos. CSUSM (4-2, 2-1 CCAA) won the CCAA regular-season title in 2019-20, and had won four of five contests to begin 2021-22 en route to receiving votes in the latest WBCA Coaches Poll.
Junior guard
Delia Moore scored a game-high 20 points making 3-of-5 3-point field goals, while senior guard
Madison Schiller scored 12 points with four rebounds and sophomore guard
Zhane Duckett finished with 10 points, eight rebounds and three steals.

Mina Tameliau added seven points while senior
Faith Turner and junior
Grace Campbell scored six points apiece.
East Bay trailed by seven at the end of the first quarter and faced a one-point deficit at the end of the third period before ending the game on a 7-0 run to win comfortably.
The Pioneers return to action at home next weekend, as they play host to Seattle Pacific on Saturday, Dec. 11, beginning at 1 p.m.
