Delia Moore scored a career-high 24 points to lead the Cal State East Bay women's basketball team past Seattle Pacific, 57-55, for its seventh-straight victory.
Sophomore guard
Zhane Duckett added 10 points with four rebounds, senior guard
Madison Schiller finished with nine points and four rebounds, while sophomore forward
Mina Tameliau added seven points with seven rebounds.
After trailing by three at the end of the first quarter, the Pioneers (8-1, 3-0 CCAA) outscored the Falcons 13-7 in the second quarter and 18-13 in the third.
East Bay led by as many as 10 in the fourth quarter after freshman
Abigail Cooper's bucket inside made it 50-40 with 9:08 left to play. Two clutch free throws by Duckett with nine seconds remaining helped the Pioneers clinch their second home victory of the season.
CSUEB resumes conference play next week, as East Bay plays host to Cal Poly Pomona at Pioneer Gym on Thursday, Dec. 16 at 5:30 p.m., before taking on Cal State San Bernardino on Saturday, Dec. 18, in a contest that will be played on the campus of Holy Names University in Oakland beginning at 1 p.m.
