HAYWARD, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay women's basketball team won its eighth-consecutive game on Thursday night, defeating Cal Poly Pomona, 69-55, at Pioneer Gym.
Junior guard
Delia Moore scored a team-high 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the field, while
Madison Schiller, sophomore
Mina Tameliau and freshman
Abigail Cooper scored 10 points apiece.
Schiller added a team-best five assists with four rebounds, freshman
Taylor Linzie led the Pioneers with 12 rebounds and freshman guard Chsitina Bacci scored a career-high nine points.
CSUEB (9-1, 4-0 CCAA) led by three at the end of the third quarter, but outscored Cal Poly Pomona (2-6, 1-3) in the fourth quarter, 21-11. The win also snapped a four-game losing streak to CPP.
East Bay resumes conference play on Saturday, Dec. 18, as the Pioneer take on Cal State San Bernardino in a contest played at Holy Names University beginning at 1 p.m.
