LOS ANGELES — The Cal State East Bay women's basketball team won its fifth-consecutive game on Thursday evening, earning a road victory over Cal State LA, 66-54.
Sophomore forward
Mina Tameliau scored a career-high 30 points with eight rebounds to lead the Pioneers, who have begun conference play with two-straight wins. The Redwood City native shot 11-for-18 from the field, including 4-for-7 from 3-point range.
Senior guard
Madison Schiller added 13 points, while freshman
Taylor Linzie finished with eight points and seven rebounds.
CSUEB (6-1, 2-0 CCAA) broke open a one-point lead at halftime by outscoring Cal State LA 25-17 in the third period. The Pioneers extended their lead to as many as 15 in the fourth quarter.
East Bay returns to action on Saturday, Dec. 4, as it continues this week's road trip against No. RV Cal State San Marcos beginning at 1 p.m.
