LOS ANGELES — The Cal State East Bay men's basketball team earned a lopsided road victory over Cal State LA, 105-80, on Thursday evening at the Eagles Nest.
The Pioneers had five players score in double figures, led by
Zack Perlstein's 18 points that included five 3-pointers. Senior forward
Zafir Williams scored 17 points with eight rebounds, Junior
Kaito Williams added 14 points, senior forward
Josh Dhatt scored 11 points and freshman guard
DJ Sanders finished with 10 points.
In addition, junior guard
Jesse Galloway recorded a career-high nine assists to go with five points.
It was the most points scored by East Bay since posting 103 points in a home win over West Coast Baptist on Jan. 5, 2019. The Pioneers' all-time record for most points scored in a game is 149 against Redlands exactly 16 years ago on Dec. 2, 2005.
CSUEB (3-5, 1-1 CCAA) led by as many as 28 points in the first half for its first conference victory of the season.
The Pioneers resume action on this week's road trip on Saturday, Dec. 4, as they take on No. 22-ranked Cal State San Marcos beginning at 3 p.m.
