HAYWARD, Calif. —
The Cal State East Bay men's basketball team resumes action on the road this week, as the Pioneers head to Southern California take on Cal State LA on Thursday, Dec. 2, at 7:30 p.m., before a clash with No. 22-ranked Cal State San Marcos on Saturday, Dec. 4, beginning at 3 p.m.

Thursday's contest against Cal State LA will not be streamed due to the NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament taking place on campus. Saturday's game at San Marcos will be streamed live on CCAA Network and both contests will have live stats.

East Bay has won five-consecutive games against Cal State LA, while the Pioneers have split their last four matchups against Cal State San Marcos.

CSUEB (2-5, 0-1 CCAA) is coming off a hard-fought defeat to Cal State Dominguez, 69-62, Hills to begin conference play on Nov. 27. 

The contest had 19 lead changes and was tied on six separate occasions. Junior forward Tone Patton scored a team-high 11 points with five rebounds, while junior guards Jesse Galloway and Zack Perlstein scored 10 points apiece.

East Bay ranks fourth in the conference in scoring, averaging 73.6 points per game and has the CCAA's best assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.33. The Pioneers are also fourth in 3-point field-goal percentage (.343).

Senior forward Zafir Williams ranks eighth in the conference with 15.3 points per game and is 11th in rebounding (6.7) and sixth in blocks (0.9). Galloway stands third in the CCAA in assists with 4.6 a game, and has the conference's best assist-to-turnover ratio (4.6).

In addition, junior guard Kaito Williams is the CCAA's sixth-best 3-point shooter making 38.5 percent (15-of-39).
