HAYWARD, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay volleyball team fell short in a home match against No. 4-ranked Cal State San Bernardino on Senior Night Saturday evening at Pioneer Gym, 3-0 (25-13, 25-22, 25-18).

Junior Breyan Ashley tallied a team-high eight kills, redshirt freshman Megan Crecelius and freshman Julianne Tan recorded 11 assists apiece, freshman libero Taylor Miche finished nine digs and senior Steena Hubbard had two blocks in her final home contest..

East Bay had a strong second set and trailed by just one, 23-22, after a kill by redshirt freshman Karis Carter. However, San Bernardino was able to record the final two points and edge the Pioneers 25-22.

CSUEB (8-16, 3-13 CCAA) closes out the regular season next weekend with road contests at Cal State Monterey Bay on Friday, Nov. 12, and at SF State on Saturday, Nov. 13.
