SEASIDE, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay volleyball team dropped a hard-fought, back-and-forth match at Cal State Monterey Bay, 3-2 (25-22, 21-25, 25-15, 20-25, 15-11).
The Pioneers went ahead 8-7 in the fifth and deciding set after a kill by junior
Taumafa Tuinauvai, but lost their momentum down the stretch.

Breyan Ashley had a big game with 16 kills, 21 digs and four aces, while redshirt freshman
Mia Jordan had nine kills with four blocks and senior
Steena Hubbard finished with eight kills.
CSUEB (8-17, 3-14) wraps up the regular season on Saturday at San Francisco State beginning at 7 p.m.
