The Pioneer women earned 218 points to place eighth out of 31 schools, as junior
Chase Worthen earned All-Region accolades after finishing 19th overall and crossing the finish line in the 6K in 22-minutes, 2.7-seconds.
"She ran great and had a really good finish," said East Bay head coach
Tony Nicolosi. "For her first regional meet, she ran tremendous."

Kimberly Lima was 45th overall after posting a mark of 22:41.1 and junior
Leza Cassidy was 73rd after finishing with a time of 23:08.9.
"(Lima) was outstanding," said Nicolosi. "She's been dealing with an injury, so she hasn't run a lot over the last two weeks. She's going to be a star.
"Today wasn't our best day, but it's a really tough region. After everything we've been through the last year and a half, we'll take it."
The East Bay men's team earned 381 points in the 10K to finish 15th out of 29 teams, led by senior
Julian Johnson's 29th-place finish behind a time of 31:43.9
"Julian ran amazing," said Nicolosi. "It was his best performance in an East Bay uniform."

Luke Calubayan placed 87th overall with a time of 33:07.4, followed closely by freshman
Justin Matties in 89th place in 33:12.4 and freshman
Miles Worthen in 91st place with a mark of 33:16.9.
"We only have one person who has run at a regional championship, and we ran like group that had never been there before," said Nicolosi.
"It's hard to put into words. We're a lot better than that, but just so inexperienced.
"But we've got a lot of talent. It's going get better."
