HAYWARD, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay men's basketball game fell short in its conference opener against Cal State Dominguez Hills, 69-62, on Saturday evening at Pioneer Gym.
The game had 19 lead changes and was tied on six separate occasions. East Bay led by as many as three in the first half, and after trailing by one at halftime, the Pioneers had a four-point lead in the second half.
Junior forward
Tone Patton scored a team-high 11 points with five rebounds, while junior guards
Jesse Galloway and
Zack Perlstein scored 10 points apiece.
Junior guard
Kaito Williams finished with eight points, and forwards
Zafir Williams and
Josh Dhatt both scored seven points.
