HAYWARD, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay men's basketball team earned its first victory of the season on Wednesday night at Pioneer Gym, defeating Dominican, 68-54.
Junior guard
Kaito Williams scored a team-high 11 points with three rebounds and three assists, while junior forward
Tim Andreolli finished with 10 points, three rebounds and three steals.
Senior forward
Justin Vigil scored nine points on 4-of-6 shooting with four rebounds, and fellow seniors
Josh Dhatt and
Zafir Williams scored eight points apiece.
The Pioneers led by as many as 15 in the first half, as jumpers from Vigil and Dhatt followed by a layup by sophomore forward
Dillon Autrey made it 35-20 at halftime.
CSUEB (1-2) has a quick turnaround before resuming action this weekend at Sonoma State's Ron Logsdon Challenge against Western Oregon on Friday, Nov. 19 at 5 p.m.
