HAYWARD, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay women's soccer team had five student-athletes earn All-CCAA honors, the conference announced on Friday morning.

Tami Kwong,
Riley Spitzer and junior
Jill Nelsen were each named All-CCAA Second-Team selections, while junior midfielder
Kelsey Pena and junior goalkeeper

Kwong recorded a team-high 12 points this season with six goals, which was tied for second most in the conference. A native of Pleasanton, Kwong led the CCAA with five game-winning scores and was named conference player of the week on Oct. 5.
Spitzer is tied for second on the team with nine points and tied for a Pioneer-high five assists, which also is tied for most in the CCAA. A native of Roseville, Spitzer started all 18 games, and her 24 shots on target were most on the team.
Nelsen, a defender, started 17 matches on the back line and ranks second among East Bay field players with 1570 minutes played. A native of Visalia, Nelsen recorded an assist in a road victory over Fresno Pacific on Sept. 16.
Pena started all 18 contests for the Pioneers this season, tallying two goals and two assists. A native of Mira Loma, Pena came through big with a goal and an assist in a 2-0 road win over Cal State LA on Oct. 8.
Smith started 17 of 18 contests for East Bay in 2021, recording 51 saves and nine shutouts which ranks third in the conference.
