HAYWARD, Calif — The Cal State East Bay softball team will host Humboldt State for a four-game series this week on March 7-8. All four games will be played at Pioneer Softball Field.
The first two games of the series against Humboldt will be played on Friday at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday's games are scheduled to be played at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. All four contests will be streamed live and will have live stats.
CSUEB fell short in a four-game series last week at No. 5-ranked Chico, but look to bounce back at home. The Pioneers are 5-3 in their last eight games in Hayward.
East Bay will continue to lean on the success of pitchers
Abby Greer and
Anamaria Beard, both of which have thrown incredibly well aside from last weekend's setback at Chico State.Â
Playing a series at home could be the confidence boost that offense needs to start producing runs. The Pioneers have won five of their last six meetings with the Lumberjacks and are 5-5 in the last 10 matchups with Humboldt State.Â
