HAYWARD, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay softball team is set for a big weekend in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play, as the Pioneers hit the road for four games against No. 5-ranked Chico State on Feb. 28-29.

Friday's doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m., while Saturday's action is set for 11 a.m. All contests will be streamed and will have live stats.

CSUEB (7-12, 5-7 CCAA) has gone 6-4 over its last 10 games overall, and is coming off a four-game split against rival Cal State Monterey Bay last weekend. Chico State (12-1, 7-1) won three of four road games last week at Humboldt State.

Senior pitcher Abby Greer earned two victories in the circle, while juniors Maddie Ramirez and Jeana Gonzales lifted the Pioneers for a comeback victory on Feb. 22 with consecutive doubles in the bottom of the seventh inning.
