HAYWARD, Calif., -- The Cal State East Bay softball team has a busy week ahead with seven games in four days. The Pioneers will take on Cal State San Bernardino with a doubleheader Thursday, March 28 to make up for games cancelled earlier this season. The Pioneers will then head to Turlock for the Tournament of Champions for games against: Western Oregon and Hawaii Hilo on Friday, two more contests against Academy of Art and Northwest Nazarene on Saturday and a single outing against Western Washington on Sunday to conclude the tournament schedule.

East Bay is currently 6-21 on the season with a 4-16 mark in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) after winning their first league series of the season 3-1 over Humboldt State.

No Pioneer hitter has been hotter than
Sarah Fukushima, however. Through 27 games, the junior is third in the CCAA with a .531 on-base percentage. She's also ninth in the league with a .616 slugging percentage. Fukushima leads the Pioneers with 20 runs, 28 hits and 45 total bases with four home runs.

Meghan Araneta has provided a boost this season, hitting .395 in conference play. Araneta has 19 hits and 10 RBI with a .566 slugging percentage and .424 on-base percentage.
Madi Greco is leading CSUEB with 17 RBI and six doubles. She is second on the team with 24 hits, 39 total bases and three home runs.

In the circle, the Pioneers will look for their veteran pitcher
Abby Greer leads who East Bay with 40 strikeouts through 64.0 innings tossed in 15 appearences. She was named CSUEB Athlete of the Week as she is tops on the Pioneers with four wins, five complete games and 5.91 ERA.

SCOUTING CAL STATE SAN BERNARDINO
The Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes enter the matchup against the Pioneers with a 14-7 mark on the season with a 11-7 record in conference play after splitting their road series against Stanislaus State. Dominique Walker leads the Coyotes with .414 batting average with 29 hits and 17 RBI. Amanda Ramirez is leading San Bernardino with a 2.10 ERA, six wins and 21 strikeouts.

SCOUTING WESTERN OREGON
Western Oregon comes into the TOC with a 14-6 mark on the season with 5-3 record in GNAC. Ayanna Arceneaux is tops on the team with .463 batting average, a .741 slugging percentage with 25 hits and 16 RBI. Haley Fabian leads the Wolves with 27 strikeouts and six complete games with a 6-2 record.

SCOUTING HAWAII HILO
The Hawaii Hilo Vulcans enters the TOC with 21-11 record on the season and a 16-8 mark in PACWEST action. Kiarra Lincoln is leading the Vulcans with 36 hits, 26 RBI, four home runs and 28 runs scored. Valerie Alvarado is leading Hawaii Hilo with 6-4 record in the circle with eight complete games and 40 strikeouts.

SCOUTING ACADEMY OF ART
The Academy of Art Urban Knights are 5-6 on the season with 4-2 showing in PACWEST games. Lauryn Henderson is leading the Urban Knights with 11 hits and two home runs, including 6 RBI, 29 total bases and four runs scored. Cecilia Lopez is tops on ART U with seven wins and three complete games with 12 strikeouts.

SCOUTING NORTHWEST NAZARENE
The Northwest Nazarene Nighthawks come into the TOC with a 16-12 mark on the season and 6-6 record in GNAC games. Anna Williams is tops on the Nighthawks with .469 batting average and a .927 slugging percentage with 45 hits, including 12 doubles, 29 RBI, 89 total bases and 19 home runs. Jordan Adams in leading Northwest Nazarene in the circle with 9-3 record and 10 complete game, including 87 strikeouts.

SCOUTING WESTERN WASHINGTON
The Western Washington Vikings head to the TOC with a 17-8 record on the season and a 11-3 mark in the GNAC action. Emily Benson leads Western Washington with a .434 batting average and .921 slugging percentage capped off by 33 hits, 24 runs, 10 home runs, 31 RBI and 70 total bases. Makinlee Sellevold is tops on the Vikings with a 1.29 ERA and a 11-6 record including 10 complete games, three shutouts and 97 strikeouts.
