HAYWARD, Calif. — The Cal State East Bay men's basketball team wraps up the 2019 calendar year with a home contest against Stanislaus State on Sunday, Dec. 22, at Pioneer Gym beginning at 3 p.m. 
CSUEB (9-3, 5-1 CCAA) has won four-consecutive games and five of its last six, as the Pioneers stand all alone in first place in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) standings. Meanwhile, Stanislaus State (7-4, 3-3) is currently locked in a three-way tie for sixth.
Cal State East Bay has won five of its last six contests against Stanislaus State, including sweeping the season series last year.
Pioneers junior forward 
Zafir Williams was named CCAA Player of the Week on Dec. 17 after averaging 24 points, seven rebounds and 2.5 steals in home victories last week.
The Long Beach, Calif., native scored 21 points with nine rebounds in a thrilling 70-69 comeback victory over Cal State San Bernardino on Dec. 12, and followed it up with 27 points, five rebounds and three steals in a win against Humboldt State on Dec. 14. 
Williams made 11-of-15 field goal attempts against the Lumberjacks and finished 9-of-13 from the free-throw line against the Coyotes. This season, Williams leads the CCAA in scoring and rebounding, averaging 21.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
Junior forward 
Ant Navarrete ranks ninth in the conference with 6.4 rebounds per contest, while junior guard 
Nai Carlisle ranks second on the team with 12.1 points per game.
