MONMOUTH, Ore. — The Cal State East Bay men's cross country team earned a 14th-place finish out of 28 teams at the NCAA West Regional Saturday morning, hosted by Western Oregon.
The Pioneers recorded 405 total points, led by a 23rd-place finish by sophomore
Xavier Smith's new program-record mark for a 10K of 30-minutes, 42.2-seconds.
In the process, Smith earned All-West Region accolades for a top-25 finish.
Senior
Esteban Leon earned 49th place with a time of 31:19.6, while sophomore
Bryan Llopis was 76th (31:51.9), junior
Jeremy Shaw was 117th (32:43.5) and junior
Oscar Mora was 142nd (33:15.0).
