HAYWARD, Calif., -- The Cal State East Bay softball team will take a break from their California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) schedule this weekend to compete at the 17th annual Tournament of Champions, hosted by Stanislaus State.

The Pioneers will play all six of their tournament games at the Pedretti Sports Complex. CSUEB takes on a tough slate of squads from the Pacific West Conference and Great Northwest Athletic Conference. East Bay current has 4-2 record this season in non-conference play, but the Pioneers will be put to the test wit three straight doubleheaders this weekend.

TOURNAMENT HISTORY
East Bay finished with a 2-4 mark at the 2017 Tournament of Champions and the program is 23-31 all-time at the event. Their best performance at the TOC came in 2015m when the squad finished 5-2 in seven games.

TICKETS
Three-day tournament passes cost $25 for adults and $15 for youths ages 4-13. One-day tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youths. Children 3 and under get free admission. For directions and parking information, as well as standings and results throughout the weekend, visit the

PIONEER POINTS
The Pioneers enter the tournament with a 11-19 overall mark and 7-17 record in conference action after picking up back-to-back wins over Humboldt State. Â

Offensively, sophomore
Jennifer Palmares is second on the Pioneers with a .308 average, .373 on-base percentage, 18 runs scored and leads the CCAA with 11 doubles. Freshman
Maddie Ramirez (.322 avg, 19 RBI, 11 extra base hits) has been a welcomed addition with a CCAA best three triples. She leads CSUEB in batting average and RBI with 19. Junior
Courtney Leyba is also off to a productive start with a .278 average, 18 runs, 17 RBI, and eight extra base hits including a conference leading three triples.

All four Pioneers pitchers have contributed strong performances so far this year, resulting in a 3.55 team ERA.
Bailee Glover is tied for the team lead with four victories and a 3.78 ERA, while
Abby Greer boasts three shutouts, nine complete games and a 2.66 ERA in a team-high 84.1 innings.
Olivia McWhorter is 2-5 and after a tough start to the season, she has a 4.07 ERA so far on the season.
