SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., -- The Pioneer women's basketball team was victorious in their non-conference contest Saturday evening, outscoring Fresno Pacific, 43-37 in the second half to claim a 75-74 victory to close the SF State Thanksgiving Classic.

Senior guard
Bri Guillory (Long Beach, Calif.) sunk the game-winning layup in with 00:01 left on the clock to give the Pioneers the one-point win. Guillory finished with 11 points and four rebounds on 5-for-9 shooting from the field off the bench. East Bay now moves to (4-4) on the season.

The tightly contested game featured eight lead changes and and seven ties. The Pioneers never led by more than two points Saturday evening, while the Sunbirds claimed a 13 point lead at the start of the second quarter.

Erasing memories of Friday afternoon's defeat, the Pioneer's dominated inside the painted area claiming a 42-36 advantage in paint points and outrebounding the Sunbirds 37-30 for the game. Despite carrying the edge in those categories, East Bay found themselves down, 23-13 after the opening quarter of action. The Pioneers would bounce back to pull within five points at the intermission.

Sophomore forward
Morgan Greene (Phoenix, Ariz.) earned SF State Thanksgiving Classic All-Tournament honors after turning in another impressive performance with a career-best 26 points and 11 rebounds on 9-for-14 shooting from the field. Greene now has three consecutive games with a double-double and six total double-double's on the season.

The Pioneers managed to shot 45.8% from the floor for the game although they shot 0-for-9 from three-point range. It was CSUEB's first game not making a three-point field goal since January 2015.

Junior guard
Elayshia Woolridge (Oakland, Calif.) continued her great play of late with 16 points on 6-for-12 shooting for the game. She added a team-high five assists with five rebounds and a steal in 30 minutes of action. Woolridge now has three consecutive games scoring in double figures.

East Bay's aggressive style of play was rewarded to the tune of a season-high 30 free throws. The Pioneers netted 21 foul shots from the charity stripe, which was also a season-best mark.

While CSUEB was outscored 23-31 in bench production, they still got excellent contribution for their reserve players. Senior forward
Chloe Kellum (Long Beach, Calif.) tallied four points and grabbed nine rebounds with two steals in 17 minutes.

The Pioneers will return to conference action as they hit the road with matchups against Cal State San Marcos and Cal State Monterey Bay.
