HAYWARD, Calif. -- Despite a rainout Thursday vs. Notre Dame de Namur, the Cal State East Bay softball team will nonetheless play its 2016 home opener this week. Friday's doubleheader against Academy of Art, originally scheduled to take place in San Francisco, has been moved to CSUEB.

The Pioneers (3-3, 2-2 CCAA) will host the Urban Knights (3-6-1) for a pair of games starting at 12 p.m. on Pioneer Field.
