The Pioneers (5-6, 2-2 CCAA) jumped out to an early advantage and led by three at halftime in front of a great Winter Break crowd at Pioneer Gym on "Faculty & Staff Appreciation Day." But the Golden Eagles stormed back in the third quarter, scoring 49 points over the final 20 minutes to pull away.

The visitors also attempted nearly three times as many free throws as the Pioneers (31-11), led by Rikke Fabricius with a game-high 24 points, half of which came at the foul line.
CSUEB's offense was humming early, despite going up against an Los Angeles squad that had a lot of size on the front-court. They fed the ball down low to
Remy Puou, who scored a season-high 19 points on 8-for-13 shooting.
Senior
Shomari Harris had another stellar performance with 24 points and three assists in 37 minutes. The CCAA's leading scorer was red-hot from long range, going 4-for-5 from beyond the arc. Unfortunately, the rest of the Pioneer squad struggled from deep, finishing 0-for-11 from three-point range.
