HAYWARD, Calif – Cal State East Bay men's basketball will play their final home game of the month before they embark on a nine game road trip when they host Fresno Pacific on Wednesday, November 16 at 7:30 p.m. in Pioneer Gymnasium.

WEEK IN REVIEW
The Pioneers kicked off their regular season by hosting the 2016 Pioneer Challenge on Nov 10 and Nov 11. East Bay finished the Tournament 1-1 with a 79-60 win over Notre Dame De Namur and an 81-107 loss to Western Washington.

Freshman
Druce Asah scored career best 25 points, including 16 points in the second half, in his Pioneer debut to lead the team. Asah added five rebounds, an assist, a block and a steal on a team high 33 minutes on the court. He shot 8-for-11 from the field, including 4-for-6 from three-point land and he went 5-for-6 from the charity stripe. All five of Asah's rebounds came on the offensive end to give East Bay another opportunity to score.

Senior
Micah Dunhour recorded his first double-double as an East Bay Pioneer against his former team. Dunhour finished with 11 points, a team high 13 rebounds, one assist and one steal in 32 minutes.

Junior big man
Kyle Frakes also compiled 11 points while collecting three rebounds, an assist, a block and a steal while shooting 5-for-7 from the floor in 25 minutes of game play.

Drew Bender led East Bay with 11 points, two assists, a rebound and one steal off the bench. Bender went a perfect 4-for-4 from the foul line.

In the loss to Western Washington, sophomore newcomer
Juwan Anderson paced East Bay with 15 points on 6-for-10 shooting from them field and four rebounds. Anderson added four assists and three steals, both team highs, while going a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the three-point arc.

Druce Asah matched the team lead with 15 points. Asah tallied four rebounds, two assists and a steal in 24 minutes of action. He sank three three-pointers for Pioneers.

Senior
Jalen Richard, the returning leading scorer from last season, finished with his first double figure scoring game of the season with 12 points. Richard compiled three rebounds and two assists in 26 minutes on the court.

Druce Asah leads the Pioneers with a 20 point per game scoring clip. He currently sits fourth in the California Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAA) in scoring, 3-PT field goal percentage (63.6%) and in 3-PT field goals per game (3.5). Asah is shooting at a 65 percent accuracy from the field and playing 28.5 minutes of game action.

Micah Dunhour is tied for third on the team averaging 9.5 points per outing. Dunhour is fifth in the CCAA grabbing nine rebounds per contest. He also leads the Pioneers with playing 30 minutes per game.

Juwan Anderson is fifth in the CCAA with a team-leading 5.5 assists per game. Anderson leads the conference in assist to turnover ratio with 11 assists and only two turnovers on the season so far. He is averaging 9.5 points on 53.8 percent from the floor and 60 percent from beyond the arc. Anderson leads East Bay with three steals on the year.

Kyle Frakes is adding 10.5 points and 3.5 rebounds on 66.7 percent shooting and he has gone a perfect 5-for-5 from the foul line.

East Bay is currently fourth in the CCAA in scoring offense (80.0 ppg), third in 3-point field goals made (10.5 per game), second in assists (33) and fifth in steals (15).

SCOUTING FRESNO PACIFIC
The Fresno Pacific Sunbirds are coming off losses to Saint Martin's 73-59 and Western Oregon 85-54 in the PAC WEST GNAC Challenge. The Sunbirds finished the 2015-16 season with a 14-13 overall record. Kavika Jimenez is the team's leading returner in points and rebounds. He is putting in 13.5 points and grabbing 3.5 rebounds per game. Mike Crawley is adding 10 points, three rebounds and two assists on 55.6 percent accuracy from the field.
