HAYWARD, Calif. – The Cal State East Bay and Notre Dame de Namur softball teams mutually agreed to move their doubleheader, originally scheduled for Saturday, to Wednesday, Feb. 4. The schedule change comes in light of the weekend forecast suggesting a strong likelihood of rainfall. First pitch is scheduled for Noon.

The Pioneers will host doubleheaders on back-to-back days with NDNU on Wednesday, and Academy of Art on Thursday. The Argos split their season opening doubleheader with Cal State Stanislaus this past Sunday. The Urban Knights will open their 2015 season in Hayward on Thursday, Feb. 5.

Cal State East Bay has won the past two meetings and three of the last four with Notre Dame de Namur. Last year the Pioneers earned a decisive 12-3 victory at the Tournament of Champions in Turlock to win the season series, 2-1.

CSUEB has won seven straight versus Academy of Art with season sweeps in each of the past three years. While dominating the series, five of the seven wins have come by two runs or less including three straight one run victories.
