CHICO, Calif. – Cal State East Bay softball will head to Chico State for back-to-back California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) doubleheaders starting on Friday, Feb. 20. It will be the final four games of an early and pivotal 8-game road swing.

Last season the Pioneers won the 4-game series in Hayward to finish their regular season. Cal State East Bay was previously 1-15 since 2010 heading into that clash, and snapped an 11-game losing streak to Chico State with last year's effort.

Cal State East Bay enters this weekend following a road series win over Cal State Stanislaus. Pitching proved pivotal as Sierra Clark and Tatiana Beilstein played the biggest roles in taking three of four games in Turlock.

Ali Cerminara leads the offense with her .433 batting average and 13 runs batted in. Six of Jaynie MacDonald's seven hits this season have gone for extra bases and she ranks second on the squad with 10 RBI.

Chico State will open CCAA action at home on Friday after posting a 3-1 mark over a pair of non-conference doubleheaders. The Wildcats most recently plated 23 runs over a pair of run-ruled wins against Southern Oregon.

Chico State returns 2014 All-CCAA Second Team selection in junior Alli Cook. The outfielder is hitting .357 (5-for-14) and has successfully swiped stolen bases in all three of her attempts.

The Wildcat staff boasts a currently team earned run average of 1.68. Brooke Langeloh is arguably the early ace with a 3-0 record, 1.87 ERA, and 16 strikeouts in 15 innings.
