HAYWARD, Calif. – Cal State East Bay has added a road doubleheader with Cal State Stanislaus on Wednesday, Feb. 12, to its 2014 schedule. The Pioneers will play the Warriors, a California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) member, in non-league action in order to prepare for its official conference opener on Friday.

Cal State East Bay (0-0) had its first two scheduled doubleheaders of the season rained out against Dominican and Holy Names this past weekend. Make-up dates for those contests have been set as the Pioneers will host the Hawks on Tuesday, March 11, and the Penguins on Sunday, March 23.

Cal State Stanislaus (1-4) hosted the Mizuno Best of the West Invitational from Feb. 1-2 winning one of its five games at the event. The Warriors currently boast five players with batting averages over .350 including team-leader Deenah San Luis who is hitting at a .438 clip.

CSUS is hitting .296 as a team while the pitching staff has an earned run average of 7.00. Natalie Rendon picked up the team's lone victory tossing three innings of relief against Cal State Dominguez Hills.

Last season East Bay earned a shutout win in the series opener but Stanislaus rallied to take the last three games. The Warriors earned back-to-back walk-off wins and closed out the final contest with a resounding 10-0 run-rule victory.

CSUEB will debut at home in its CCAA opener against San Francisco State on Friday, Feb. 14. The Pioneers and Gators will play back-to-back doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday.
