Box Score HAYWARD, Calif. – Sunday afternoon was the final collegiate soccer match inside Pioneer Stadium for Cal State East Bay seniors Rachel Armstrong, Bekah Anderson, Kendra Trifonovitch, Briana Scholtens, Kelley Brown, Alyssa Rodriguez, Sara Yamasaki, and Ariana Gordon. The Pioneers fell 4-0 to No. 7 nationally ranked and California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) regular season champion Cal State Los Angeles.

CSULA (14-1-2, 9-0-1 CCAA) clinched the outright title with Sunday's result. The Golden Eagles defense has not surrendered a single goal in eight straight matches and will be undefeated in CCAA play with a tie or victory versus Cal Poly Pomona on Thursday.

Cal State East Bay (6-9-2, 3-7-0 CCAA) had a chance late in the contest to end the Golden Eagles' shutout streak after earning a penalty kick in the 85th minute. Cal State L.A. netminder Yi Du dove to her right to make her lone save of the match after turning away the lower corner, on target attempt from Gordon.

CSULA converted its own penalty kick in the 11th minute as Heather Williams scored the eventual game-winning goal. She nearly added another in the final minute of the first half as her shot hit off the crossbar. Victoria Arredondo collected the rebound and again fired off the crossbar before teammate Andrea Lammers headed it home on the third attempt.

The team's season leading goal scorer Amalia Arvidsson got into the act with her 10th goal in the 75th minute. Teammate Saha Arghandiwal finished off a corner from teammate Joleen Galeazzi-Pimentel in the 84th minute to cap the scoring.

East Bay goalkeeper Selena Braun made four saves in nearly 68 minutes of action. In her final appearance at Pioneer Stadium, Scholtens finished out the final 22 minutes against the Golden Eagles. All seven of the active seniors saw playing in Sunday's match.

Cal State East Bay will conclude the 2014 season on the road Thursday, Oct. 26, against Cal State Stanislaus (12-4-1, 5-4-1 CCAA).
