Box Score SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – Cal State East Bay men's soccer was unable to net a goal in Sunday's 1-0 road defeat to Cal State San Bernardino on Sunday afternoon at Premier Field. Coyotes midfielder Tony Lo netted the game-winner in the 37th minute while their defense recorded a third straight shutout.
"We fought hard for 90 minutes and played well. A lot of different players saw substantial playing time and worked very hard for each other," praised Head Coach
Andy Cumbo of his team's effort.

Adrian Topete from about five yards out. Topete finished with two saves on Sunday and allowed only one goal in 200 minutes of weekend play.
Cal State East Bay (3-7-4, 0-5-3 CCAA) had chances to snap a scoreless streak of three games after taking 14 shots and earning 10 corner kicks against Cal State San Bernardino (8-4-0, 4-4-0 CCAA).

Adrian Topete went on offense for the final free kick heading it wide as time expired.
"We came out strong in the second half and put together a very solid performance. We were in their half a great deal and had a number of corner kicks," said Cumbo. "Jeremy (Romero) beat the goalkeeper and unfortunately was denied by the framework."
Juan Alfaro forced a first half save from CSUSB goalkeeper Roberto Gonzalez. East Bay's
Kellen Crow did likewise in the second half requiring a pair of stops from Gonzalez, who picked up his fourth win and third shutout of the season.
"Despite being fatigued from the long game on Friday and the lengthy road trip down here, the guys played a good first half with solid opportunities on goal," complimented Cumbo.
Cal State East Bay will begin a 3-match homestand on Tuesday, Oct. 21, against Antelope Valley.
