CHICO, Calif. – Cal State East Bay will finish off its second of three four-game road trips this season during the upcoming weekend. The Pioneers will take on California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) squads Chico State and Cal State Stanislaus on Friday, Jan. 17, and Saturday, Jan. 18, respectively.

Cal State East Bay (9-6, 6-2 CCAA) fell into second place in the CCAA standings and will look to rebound after suffering a tough road loss to Cal State San Bernardino (3-8, 2-6 CCAA) on Saturday, Jan. 11. The Pioneers are one game behind Cal Poly Pomona for the top spot, and one game ahead of four teams deadlocked at 5-3 in league play.

Brianna Terrance put up a career-high 27 points in Friday's road win over UC San Diego. During the victory she became the seventh player in program history to score over 800 career points.

Stephanie Lopez averaged 21.5 points in two games this past weekend and is shooting over 54 percent from the floor including 5-for-6 from three. She made 14-of-17 free throws during that stretch and currently leads the team with 45 makes at the foul line.

Over the team's past five games Danielle Peacon is nearly averaging a double-double with 16.8 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. During that span she is shooting over 60 percent from the field and 84 percent at the free throw line. Terrance (17.8 ppg), Peacon, and Lopez (14.8 ppg) are contributing more than 70 percent of the team's points over the previous five contests.

Cal State East Bay at Chico State (Friday, Jan. 17 – 5:30 p.m.)
As of late Chico State has dominated the series winning seven of the previous eight meetings. The lone Pioneer victory was a 74-69 home decision on Feb. 10, 2011. East Bay has failed to score more than 60 points in each of the Wildcat wins.

The reigning regular season CCAA champions lost only four league contests a season ago posting an 18-4 record. This year the Wildcats were 2-4 in conference before winning back-to-back games this past weekend against Cal State Dominguez Hills and Cal State L.A.

"As far as I am concerned Chico is still the reigning CCAA champion until proven otherwise, regardless of their win-loss record," said East Bay Head Coach Suzy Barcomb. "Trying to win anywhere on the road in this league is tough."

Chico State's roster features a wealth of upperclassmen including four seniors whom have started all 12 games this season. 2012-13 All-CCAA First Team selection Jazmine Miller leads the squad averaging 13.5 points per game. She is one of four players to average double digit scoring this season along with Hannah Womack, Analise Riezebos, and McKenzie Dalthorp.

Dalthrop is currently leading the CCAA in field goal percentage (.545) by the slimmest of margins over East Bay's Peacon (.544). Chico State (.444) and East Bay (.440) rank first and second in the CCAA in team field goal percentage, respectively.

Chico State eked out a 59-56 win in the team's most recent meeting back on Feb. 28, 2013. Miller, Womack, and Dalthrop were the top three Wildcat scorers with each posting 12 or more points. Tori Breshers led the Pioneers with 15 points in just 20 minutes of action. Sarah Finlay finished with 12 points, and Terrance with 11 and a team-high three assists.

Cal State East Bay at Cal State Stanislaus (Saturday, Jan. 17 – 5:30 p.m.)
While Friday's opponent won the CCAA regular season crown a year ago, Cal State Stanislaus won just one league contest (1-21) and finished last by five games. The Warriors have rebounded nicely this season and had only one conference loss through six games before dropping back-to-back games against Cal State L.A. and Cal State Dominguez Hills this past weekend.

Lauren Godde currently ranks third in the CCAA averaging 16.7 points per game this season. Last season she was named to the All-CCAA Second Team putting up 15.3 points and 7.1 rebounds per game as a junior.

Godde leads a balanced offensive attack that features teammates Riley Holladay (10.8 ppg, 5.6 rpg), Briana Cotton (10.5 ppg, 2.7 rpg) and Jasmine Washington (9.9 ppg, 2.5 apg). The Warriors currently rank third in the CCAA averaging over 72 points per game in eight league contests, but managed to put up only 62 points against Dominguez Hills and 57 versus Cal State L.A.

"(Stanislaus) has gone through an amazing turnaround this season...They are great at pressing and trapping, to go along with several offensive weapons," said Barcomb about Saturday's opponent.

Cal State East Bay has won the previous five meetings with Cal State Stanislaus, but the Pioneers escaped their regular season finale 56-54 in overtime. Godde missed what likely would have been the game-winning 3-pointer near the end of overtime as East Bay held on for the victory.
