Dominican (0-2) held its only lead of the game by an 8-6 margin at the 16:44 mark of the first half. Cal State East Bay (1-3) pulled even on its ensuing possession and went on to score 15 straight points to run away from the Penguins.

"It was great to have that offensive explosion in the first half. We shared the ball extremely well and hardly turned it over," said victorious head coach Suzy Barcomb. "There were several bright spots to build upon today."

East Bay's first half offensive numbers included 56 team points, the most since dropping 70 on Menlo nearly two years ago. The Pioneers added 34 in the second period to amass 90, the most since the 2008-09 season.

Terrance, Sarah Finlay, Danielle Peacon, and Micah Walker all headed into halftime with double figures in the scoring column. Finlay finished with 17 highlighted by a 3-for-4 shooting effort from downtown. Peacon concluded her afternoon with 12 points, five boards, two assists and two blocks in just 18 minutes of action. Walker scored 10 points for the third time in four games this season.

Tori Breshers finished with 13 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots to pace the Pioneer reserves. She earned the first double-double by any East Bay player this season during Saturday's win over Dominican.

"I loved Tori's energy and focus coming off the bench," praised Barcomb regarding the sophomore's benchmark day. "She has played that way for us the last four games and it is a pleasure to coach."

Rachel Finnegan was two points shy of making it six Pioneers to score in double figures during Saturday's contest, finishing with eight points and nine rebounds. Sharissa Estremera, Kelsey Asplund, and Remy Puou all scored for the first time in an East Bay uniform.

Humboldt State defeated Academy of Art 87-83 to conclude Saturday's action.

Cal State East Bay will take on event host Academy of Art (3-1) on Sunday, Nov. 17, at 3 p.m.
