Box Score CARSON, Calif. – For the fourth straight game a women's soccer match involving Cal State East Bay has reached the end of regulation tied. A late score by Pioneer freshman Megan Ravenscroft forced the extra sessions on the road against Cal State Dominguez Hills on Sunday afternoon, eventually ending in a 1-1 draw.

"We came out in the second half with a lot of energy and more desire," said East Bay Head Coach Amy Gerace. "Sara Yamasaki played a tremendous game and was vital in getting this result. It is exciting to see Megan (Ravenscroft) score twice this weekend."

The Pioneers survived an offensive barrage of 29 shots and nine corner kicks by Dominguez Hills (4-6-2, 3-5-2 CCAA). The last line of defense included Williams' nine saves, and Yamasaki clearing three shots that were destined for goal to keep the Pioneers close.

CSUEB would play from behind for the majority of regulation. CSUDH's Sami Feinstein headed in a corner kick from teammate Olivia Patterson just shy of the 20 minute mark.

Cal State East Bay held the Toros scoreless from then on and broke through for their own score in the 85th minute. Sara Yamasaki's initial free kick was saved by CSUDH goalkeeper Jennifer Ackerly. Ravenscroft gathered the rebound off the stop and put away the equalizer.

In each of the past two games Ravenscroft has scored, Pioneers goalkeeper Donna Williams has recorded nine saves, and the games ended in 1-1 draws. Ravenscroft now leads the team with three goals and Williams leads the CCAA with 71 saves this season.

Cal State East Bay (3-7-2, 3-5-2 CCAA) extended its season long unbeaten streak to three games (1-0-2) and is currently tied for fourth in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) North Division standings.

CSUEB will be on the road Friday, Oct. 18, against San Francisco State (4-5-3, 3-5-2 CCAA).
