AUSTIN, Texas – The Pioneer women's golf team finished 12th out of 15 teams at the St. Edward's Invitational to open the 2012 spring season.

East Bay finished with a two-round score of 671 (+103) finishing ahead of U. of Incarnate Word, St. Mary's U. (TX) and Henderson State University.

Deanna Tyndall led the Pioneers with a 22-over 164 to tie for 24th overall.

Not far behind was Arielle Swan-Smith , who posted a 23-over 165 and tied for 28th place.

Linda Brown tied for 46th with a 27-over 169 while Andrea Castellanos  shot a 31-over 173 to finish in a tie for 52nd overall.

Katie Devine finished with a 40-over 182 to finish in 80th place.

Tarleton State won the St. Edward's Invitational with a two round score of 606 (+38).

Cal State East Bay will host the Pioneer Shootout on March 3-4.
