TURLOCK, Calif. – Facing a must-win situation for a berth in the CCAA Tournament, the Pioneers came up short in an 86-83 defeat to Cal State Stanislaus on February 23.
The Pioneers stand at 8-13 in CCAA play and 10-15 overall with one game remaining against Chico State.
Roshun Wynne led the Pioneers with 19 points.
Mark Samuels recorded a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Jason Smith added 11 points for the Pioneers.
With the victory, the Warriors (15-10, 11-10 CCAA) secure the final CCAA Tournament berth.

CCAA scoring leader Reggie Jones, held scoreless in the first nine minutes of the first half, ended with a game-high 23 points for Cal State Stanislaus. Dan Daviess and Donald Gaines scored 19 and 17 points respectively
