Sanchez was outstanding at the plate for the CSUEB baseball team, which went on the road and crucially took three out of four games at Cal State LA to remain alive in the CCAA playoff race. He had three multi-hit games, and he had least one RBI and one run scored in all four contests. His first career home run ended up being the game-winner in the eighth inning of a 7-6 victory on Saturday. For the weekend Sanchez batted .471, going 8-for-17 with six RBI and four runs scored.
