Gabby Gonzalez went 5-for-13 (.385) with two homers and drove in three runs as Cal State East Bay softball split its weekend league series with Cal State Dominguez Hills. In Saturday’s opener she went 3-for-4 with a solo blast and scored twice in a 12-4 victory.

Gonzalez holds an active and team-best streak of 22 games in which she has reached base safely. She has at least one base hit in 18 of the past 21 games while raising her batting average 100 points to .373 on the year.

Gonzalez currently ranks second on the team in on base percentage (.425) following her lengthy streak. She also stands third in RBI (21), runs scored (22), and fourth in homers (6).
