Carretero opened the 2018 cross country season impressively, absolutely shattering the school record in the 6k with a second place individual finish at Saturday night's Kim Duyst Invitational in Ceres. The senior crossed the finish line in 21:31.8 to break the previous record by more than 16 seconds. She paced the Pioneer women's team to a second place team finish at the meet, a strong start to the Fall.
