Deo Boongaling enters his first season with the Cal State East Bay after one year at San Diego City College where he played volleyball during the 2015-16 seasons. Boongaling spent three years at Diablo Valley College where he played two seasons for the Diablo Valley Volleyball Club.
A graduate of St. Patrick-St. Vincent’s in 2015 where he spent two years as a member of the Varsity Men’s Volleyball team. Helped his team win one NCS Championship and three TCAL League Championships. Was named 2nd-Team All-League as a junior. During his senior year he was named Team Captain, 1st-Team All-League and League MVP.
Born on October 10, 1997, Boongaling joined the Pioneer volleyball coaching staff to “further my knowledge of volleyball, to feed my passion and love of the game and to gain experience of coaching at a high level”. Chose East bay due to location, the campus and the awesome community.
