AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2021): Played in 20 matches and started in two of them ... Had two kills making total of six points ... Along with 126 digs and 24 assists ... A match against San Fran St. (11/13)  had eight assists and another match against Mont. St. Billings (9/10) made 17 digs in total. 

AS A FRESHMAN (2020): Competition canceled due to COVID.

PERSONAL: Majoring in Communications...Hobbies include journaling in front of a scenic view, watching romance movies and traveling...Favorite athletes are Lydia Ko and Klay Thompson...Enjoys watching the Twilight Saga, A Walk to Remember, Life as We Know It, Grey's Anatomy...Favorite musical artists are Billie Eilish, Jack Harlow, Snoh Aalegra and Kehlani...Born on December 21, 2001...Parents are Andrew and Diana Ortega...Has two older brothers: Drew (25) & Matt (23)...Chose Cal State East Bay because "of the diversity on campus and the team along with the location being close to home." 

HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Graduated from St. Patrick - St. Vincent High School in 2020...Played four seasons of varsity volleyball...Member of the Tri County Athletic League (TCAL) Rock Division League Championship Title team as a junior...As a junior she was named to the TCAL All-League 1st-Team and also received the Coaches Award...As a senior she was named to the TCAL All-League 2nd-Team while also receiving MVP honors and Most Inspirational as voted by her teammates....Member of the Student Council for three years and All Student Body (ASB) Vice President as a Senior...Voted Homecoming Queen...Member of the Filipino and Future Nurses Club...Played for the Club Solano Volleyball and Xceleration Volleyball Club... 2014: GJNC, 12-1 Vortex Club Solano, 12U American Division... 2015: AAU Jr. Nationals, 13-1 Shock Club Solano, 13th place in 13U Open Division... 2017: GJNC, 15-1 Xceleration VBC, 15U National Division... 2018: AAU Jr. Nationals, 16–1 Xceleration VBC, 16U Open Division... 2018: GJNC 16U American bid (respectfully declined)... 2019: AAU Jr. Nationals, 17-1 Xceleration VBC, 17U Open Division.
