Cal State East Bay women's swimming freshman Jaydah Godbolt has been named the Pacific Collegiate Swim and Dive Conference Female Freshman Athlete of the Week following a standout performance in the Pioneers' season-opening victory over Westmont College.

Making her collegiate debut, Godbolt wasted little time making an impact for the Pioneers. The freshman earned a pair of individual first-place finishes, beginning with a victory in the 50-yard freestyle after touching the wall in 24.98.

Godbolt added her second win of the meet in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing first with a time of 1:00.24. Her two individual victories were part of a strong performance throughout the East Bay lineup in the first meet of the 2026-27 season.

The Pioneers went on to defeat Westmont 167-95, with Godbolt accounting for two of East Bay's nine individual event victories during the meet.

The PCSC Female Freshman Athlete of the Week honor comes after an impressive collegiate debut for Godbolt, who collected two individual victories and helped East Bay open the 2026-27 season with a win.
