The Cal State East Bay women's swimming team will be represented by five student-athletes this week at the 2026 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships, scheduled for March 10–14 at the Deaconess Aquatic Center in Evansville, Indiana.
The Pioneers head into the national meet with momentum after capturing the team title at the 2026 PCSC Swimming & Diving Championships, where several East Bay swimmers produced conference titles, program records and NCAA-qualifying performances.
Representing Cal State East Bay in Evansville will be seniors

Maggie Clemens and
Malana Kollath, sophomore
Alexia Fajardo, and junior
Tehani Kong.
In addition to the individual events, Cal State East Bay will also compete in all five relays at the national championships. The Pioneers are entered in the 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay, 400 freestyle relay and 800 freestyle relay, giving East Bay additional opportunities to score points across the meet.
Kylie Beaudet
Events: 200 IM, 400 IM, 200 Breaststroke
Beaudet returns to the national stage for the fourth time in her career. Beaudet will compete primarily in the 400-yard individual medley, where she holds the Cal State East Bay program record of 4:19.74, set at last year's national championships.
At this year's PCSC Championships, Beaudet earned a silver medal in the 400 IM, helping power the Pioneers to the team title. She enters the national meet seeded 19th in the 400 IM (4:23.72) and 37th in the 200 IM (2:04.63) while also qualifying in the 200 breaststroke (2:19.22). Beaudet finished 10th nationally in the 400 IM in 2025.
Maggie Clemens
Events: 500 Freestyle, 1,000 Freestyle, 1,650 Freestyle
Maggie Clemens heads to her first NCAA Championships after a dominant performance at the conference level. Clemens swept the 500, 1,000 and 1,650 freestyle titles at the PCSC Championships, three gold medals that played a major role in East Bay securing the conference crown.
She enters nationals ranked 11th in the 1,000 freestyle (10:06.84) and 9th in the 1,650 freestyle (16:57.28), with both swims setting new school records. Clemens also qualified in the 500 freestyle, where she is seeded 21st (4:57.58).
Malana Kollath
Events: 500 Freestyle, 1,000 Freestyle, 1,650 Freestyle
Kollath joins Clemens to form one of the conference's top distance duos. Kollath finished second at the PCSC Championships in the 500, 1,000 and 1,650 freestyle, earning three silver medals that contributed significantly to the team title.
She owns the school record in the 500 freestyle (4:56.27) and enters the NCAA Championships seeded 14th in the 500 free, 24th in the 1,000 free (10:13.61) and 15th in the 1,650 free (17:04.37).
Alexia Fajardo
Events: 100 Butterfly, 200 Butterfly
Fajardo will make her second appearance at the NCAA Championships after another strong season in the butterfly events. At the PCSC Championships, Fajardo captured the conference title in the 200 butterfly and finished second in the 100 butterfly.
She enters nationals seeded 10th in the 200 butterfly (2:01.09) and 17th in the 100 butterfly (55.09).
Tehani Kong
Events: 50 Freestyle, 100 Butterfly, 200 Butterfly, 100 Freestyle
Kong returns to the NCAA Championships for the third time in her career and remains one of the most accomplished swimmers in the Pioneer program.
Kong won the 100 butterfly title at the PCSC Championships and finished second in the 200 butterfly, continuing her dominance in the stroke. Nationally, she placed third in the 100 butterfly in 2025 and eighth in 2024, and she still holds the East Bay school record in the event with a 53.40 recorded at last year's NCAA preliminaries.
She enters this year's championship seeded 7th in the 100 butterfly (54.44) and 12th in the 200 butterfly (2:01.28). Kong also qualified in the 50 freestyle (23.52) and 100 freestyle (51.54).
