Oscar Blomqvist has been named the FloCollege/CCAA Men's Golfer of the Week.

Blomqvist finished just one stroke off the tournament lead with a 140 (-4) to finish tied for second place at the Stockton Invitational. The junior from Värmdö, Sweden, posted a 71 (-1) in the first round and a 69 (-3) in the second. 

He finished with seven birdies and an eagle. Blomqvist also tied for the tournament lead in par-4 scoring (-1), and he was second in par-5 scoring (-5). Click here to see results from the tournament. 

This is the first career Golfer of the Week honor for Blomqvist, and the second for Cal State East Bay. Click here to see a complete list of past weekly award winners. 

Bomqvist's performance helped the Pioneers tie for third place with a 581 (+5). The Reserve at Spanos Park will serve as the site of the CCAA Championships and the men's golf West/Southcentral Regional. 

The Pioneers will be back in action next weekend at the Las Vegas Desert Classic, Mar. 1-3.
