KANSAS CITY, Mo. - After two weeks holding at No. 3, the undefeated Cal State East Bay men's basketball team climbed one spot to the program's highest ever Division II ranking of No. 2 in this week's NABC Rankings. The Pioneers received four first-place votes and are now the only undefeated team remaining among all NCAA Division II teams this season.
The higher ranking comes off the heels of a 79-57 home win over then (RV) Cal State Dominguez Hills to extend the winning streak to 22 games and after clinching a spot in the CCAA Basketball Tournament in early March.
Six games remain on the regular season schedule for the Pioneers starting with a CCAA road contest this coming Thursday at Cal Poly Humboldt with a tipoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in Arcata.
