The game-winning goal was scored as the first half clock ticked down at SMU Soccer Field. With just one second remaining, Lillian Morris capitalized on a well executed corner kick sequence. Isabella Hernandez initiated the play from the right corner, finding Harlye Holliday in front of the net. Holliday's header reached Morris on the left side of the box, who swiftly fired a shot over the goalkeeper, finding the inside of the right post to give East Bay the lead. |
The Pioneers limited the Saints' chances in the second half as only two shots were allowed by East Bay.Â
