- Shots on goal favored Sonoma State, 7-2.
- Kylie Newman and Jaeden Nelson each recorded one shot on goal for the Pioneers.
Cal State East Bay head coach Anne Whipple reflected on the match:
"Slow start for us in the first half and unfortunately let one in right before halftime. We made the necessary adjustments in the second half and were able to respond positively but just didn't generate enough solid offensive opportunities to get us back into it. Losses always come with lessons so we will take those lessons into our homestand this upcoming week."
