Cal State East Bay head coach Alan Sue following the Pioneers' season opening tournament:
"Solid start to our season, especially for a young team with three freshmen and a sophomore. I was most impressed with the way this group navigated tough conditions and situations while exhibiting a positive attitude and a problem solving mentality. This is the exact culture that can produce successful performances from a group with the talent level of these student-athletes."
