CHICO, Calif. – On Wednesday, the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) announced its postseason honors for women's golf in 2022-23. From Cal State East Bay,
Mandi Granato and
Drishti Karumbaya were announced as All-CCAA selections, and
Jasmin Krishna was received All-CCAA Honorable Mention.
Mandi Granato – All-CCAA
In her first season with the Pioneers, Granato had an average round score of 76.64. Her lowest single round score for the season was 73, which was achieved in the third round of the West Regional this past October. He had four first place finishes, including third on the leaderboard at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout in which she earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team. A the CCAA Championships, she finished tied for 11
th place.

Alan Sue added the following about Granato:
"Mandi was so consistent and did well adjusting to golf on the west coast in her first year. She's a grinder and a fighter with great golf skills."
Drishti Karumbaya – All-CCAA
A postseason honor from the CCAA is nothing new for Karumbaya, who was an All-CCAA selection for the fourth time in her career. With a single round lowest score of 71 in four separate rounds, her average round score was 74.60 through the CCAA Championships. To open the spring season, Karumbaya was the co-medalist for the Bay Area Invitational this past February. She finished in the top-10 in 10 of 12 tournaments played.
Sue also spoke about Karumbaya's success in 2022-23:
"Drishti has been amazingly consistent posting a record number of top-10 finishes in a single season by a Pioneer. I can't say how important her performance has been to the success of our season."
Jasmin Krishna – All-CCAA Honorable Mention
Krishna received a postseason award from the CCAA for the second time in as many seasons as she was named All-CCAA Honorable Mention for 2022-23. She was an All-CCAA Tournament selection following a fifth place tie in the CCAA Championships. Her average score for the season per round was 77.80. In her first season with the Pioneers, Krishna was an All-CCAA selection last spring.
Sue spoke about the achievement by Krishna:
"Jasmin had quite a comeback after some struggles in the fall season. The work she put in and the fortitude that she showed was impressive. She's a player that has come through for us so many times this season. I'm proud of her accomplishment."
The Pioneers await to see if they are selected for an at-large berth in the NCAA Division II Women's Golf West Regional. If selected, CSUEB would participate in the NCAA West Regional on May 8-10 in Dallas. Selection announcements for the NCAA Division II Women's Golf Regionals are expected to take place on Monday, May 1.
