NAMPA, Idaho - Cole Anderson, from Cal State East Bay baseball, received a second weekly award for his performance on the field from April 10-16. HE was named NCBWA Division II West Region Player of the Week.
Throughout the five games in which the Pioneers went 4-1, Anderson went 14-for-21 and had 10 RBIs. On Sunday in the series finale at Cal State Dominguez Hills, Anderson went 5-for-5. Four of Anderson's hits were doubles and also scored five runs. His .374 batting average is currently seventh in the CCAA.
Earlier in the week, Anderson was named CCAA Player of the Week for games played from April 10-16.
