TURLOCK, Calif. – The 2023 Hanny Stanislaus Invitational concluded Tuesday at Turlock Golf & Country Club. Cal State East Bay men's golf placed 11
th among 16 teams.
Ananjan Kaushik and
Michael Savin, competing as individuals, had the lowest score among all CSUEB golfers in the tournament, each finishing at 8-over-par 224 placing 25
th on the leaderboard. Savin carded a 75 on Tuesday, the lowest third round score for Cal State East Bay and finished the tournament with 10 birdies.
Easton Hether and
Quentyn Kowata had the lowest finishing scores that impacted team scoring at 12-over-par 228.
With the most birdies for Cal State East Bay was
Fraser Owenson with 11.
Western Washington was the team champion of the tournament and the medalist was Jordan Lee of WWU, finishing 4-under-par 212.
Two regular season tournaments remain for the Pioneers. The first of the two takes place April 3-4 as the Pioneers will compete in the RJGA Palm Valley Classic, from Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Arizona.
