INDIANAPOLIS - The fourth day of the 2023 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships took place Friday at IU Natatorium. In the pool, a new Pioneer record was set by the Cal State East Bay women's swimming relay team of
Brooklyn Dressel,
Delaney Carlson,
Emma Knott and
Olivia Parham.
In the 200 yard freestyle relay, while the team finished 15th in the nation, a new program record was set. The team completed the event in one minute, 33.58 seconds.
The previous CSUEB record was set during the 2017 NCAA Division II Championships when the team of Vivy Hua, Morgan McClure, Shelby Parker and Madison Gail-Hauaino placed 10th in 1:33.84.
The final day of the 2023 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships takes place Saturday at IU Natatorium. For Cal State East Bay, Dressel will compete in the 100 yard freestyle, while the Pioneers will be represented in the 400 yard freestyle relay.
