HAYWARD, Calif. – A four game win streak for the Cal State East Bay men's basketball team came to an end on Saturday when the Pioneers fell to No. 17 Cal State San Bernardino, 93-69 at Pioneer Gymnasium.
The Coyotes jumped out to an early lead and did not look back in the first half. CSUEB was limited to 19 points through 20 minutes of action, as CSUSB led 50-19 at halftime.
Although the Pioneers outscored the Yotes, 50-43 in the second half, it was not in reach for Cal State East Bay, as Cal State San Bernardino cruised to a 93-69 CCAA win.
- Scoring a team-high 12 points for the Pioneers was Chris James, who went 4-for-8 from the floor and 3-for-5 from the free throw line.
- Grady Lewis went 5-for-11 from the floor and finished with 11 points.
- The top rebounder for the Pioneers was Payden White with seven.
- Defensively, Lewis had three blocks and two steals.
- Brandon Knapper from CSUSB led all scorers with 28 points.

The Pioneers' next two games are on the road. The first of the two takes place on the evening of Thursday, February 9 at Cal Poly Humboldt. Tipoff from Lumberjack Arena is set for 7:30 p.m. CSUEB lost to Humboldt on December 3, 84-71.
