SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – Cal State East Bay women's soccer played its final road match of the regular season at Cal State San Bernardino. The Coyotes used a pair of second half goals to defeat the Pioneers 2-1.
Mika Sayfurahman scored her team-high seventh goal of the season on Sunday for CSUEB.
- In the 44th minute, the Pioneers were awarded a penalty kick and they capitalized when Mika Sayfurahman converted the attempt for her seventh goal of the season. The Pioneers led 1-0 at halftime.
- In the 51st minute, Kaylen Gonzalez would convert on a penalty kick to tie the match for the Coyotes at 1-1.
- To break the tie, Gonzalez scored her second goal of the match in the 84th minute, with an assist from Kayla Bergin for a 2-1 lead.
- With seven goals this season, Sayfurahman is tied for third most goals in the CCAA this season.
- In four of the last five matches, Sayfurahman has scored a goal.
- Sayfurahman had a team-high three shots for the Pioneers.
- Sam Encarnado, Maya Farkas and Elle Unflat also had a shot in Sunday's match for Cal State East Bay.
- The Coyotes outshot the Pioneers 9-6 and had a 12-2 advantage in corner kicks.

The Pioneers will return home for their final match of the 2023 regular season as they take on Cal State San Marcos at Pioneer Stadium. Kickoff is set for Thursday, November 2 at 2 p.m. In a non-conference match on September 23, the Pioneers and Cougars played to a scoreless draw.
